Meet the Wellness Team

HTM’s Student Support & Wellness Program is made possible through a partnership with Replenish Counseling.

The wellness team includes licensed therapists who direct and oversee the program, along with graduate counseling students who lead Social Emotional Learning groups and provide parent-approved individual student support throughout the school year.

Together, we aim to create a warm, creative, and engaging space where students feel known, supported, and encouraged as they grow.

Who Will Meet With My Child?

Much of the direct student support at HTM is provided by graduate counseling students who are in the second or third year of their master’s degree programs.

Each graduate counseling student receives ongoing supervision and support from Christine and Ryan, licensed therapists and co-directors of the program. They remain with HTM for the full 2026–2027 school year, allowing them to become familiar with the school community and build meaningful connections with students.

A child receiving individual support will meet with the same graduate counseling student throughout their agreed-upon check-in period.

Program Co-Directors

Christine is a licensed therapist and the owner of Replenish Counseling

She has worked in the mental health field since 2010 and has extensive experience supporting adolescents and families through individual and group mental health services.

Within HTM’s Student Support & Wellness Program, Christine creates and oversees the Social Emotional Learning programming and supports the graduate counseling students who lead groups and meet individually with students.

Christine also helps HTM respond when a student is experiencing a higher level of emotional or mental health concern. When additional care may be needed, she works with families to better understand what is happening and helps connect them with appropriate support outside of the school setting.

She is also available for parent phone check-ins to talk through concerns, answer questions, and help families consider helpful next steps.

Ryan Finnegan

Licensed Clinician at Replenish Counseling | Program Co-Director

Before becoming a therapist, Ryan served with Metro Police for 12 years. His background in public safety, together with his experience as a therapist, gives him a grounded and practical perspective on supporting children, families, teachers, and school communities.

For the past five years, Ryan has worked with adolescents and families. He has a particular passion for helping boys learn how to recognize, navigate, express, and communicate their emotions in healthy ways.

At HTM, Ryan supervises and co-leads several of the boys’ SEL groups. He also provides wellness check-ins for teachers and supports school leadership as they make decisions related to student safety and school-wide safety initiatives.

A few times throughout the school year, Ryan hosts Coffee with a Counselor. After morning carline, parents are invited to stop by, have a cup of coffee, and talk informally with Ryan about parenting, emotional wellness, and other mental health-related topics.

Our Connection to HTM

Christine and Ryan are also HTM parents. Their daughters, Becca and Riley, are students in Lower Elementary 2 and Lower Elementary 1. Their family has been part of the HTM community since Becca began in the Toddler program in 2019.

They are grateful to bring together their professional experience and personal connection to the school community as they co-direct the Student Support & Wellness Program for a second school year.

Graduate Counseling Students

Much of the direct student support at HTM is provided by graduate counseling students who are in the second or third year of their master’s degree programs.

Jason, Kylee, and Allie will remain with HTM throughout the full 2026–2027 school year. They help facilitate SEL groups and provide parent-approved individual student check-ins while receiving ongoing supervision and support.

Having the same graduate counseling students at HTM throughout the school year allows them to become familiar with the school community and build comfortable, trusting connections with students. When a child participates in individual support, they will meet with the same graduate counseling student throughout their agreed-upon check-in period.

How the Wellness Team Works Together

Christine and Ryan develop and oversee the programming, supervise the graduate counseling students, and work closely with HTM’s teachers and leadership.

Graduate counseling students lead SEL groups and provide parent-approved individual student support under that supervision. Teachers help coordinate meeting times and may share helpful observations about how a student is doing within the school environment.

Parents and guardians remain an important part of any decision involving individual student support.

Together, the team works to help students build practical emotional and social skills while remaining connected to the rhythms, relationships, and values of the HTM community.
